LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Sept. 18, 2026 – FedEx Freight launched its new charitable giving initiative, Driven Together, with a $25,000 donation to Special Olympics Arkansas during the annual Truck Convoy held Sept. 12 in Little Rock.

The contribution also establishes FedEx Freight as the presenting sponsor of the event, which has raised more than $600,000 for Special Olympics Arkansas since 2005.

“It’s great to work for a place that allows us to stand up and make a difference in our community,” said Little Rock Service Center Manager Mark Smith. “That is what Driven Together is all about.”

Special Olympics Arkansas serves approximately 19,500 athletes and 16,000 volunteers across the state. Athletes ranging in age from two to their 70s participate in 18 different sports through year-round training and competition programs.

The annual Truck Convoy has grown significantly since its inception. What began with just 11 trucks now attracts more than 150 trucks from across the country. During this year’s event, participants traveled through Central Arkansas with a police escort, creating a convoy that stretched across portions of Little Rock while raising awareness and support for Special Olympics athletes.

“FedEx Freight’s partnership ensures our athletes have the resources they need to grow and succeed. It allows us to reach more individuals across the state with inclusive programming that builds confidence, leadership, and community,” said Special Olympics Arkansas CEO Terri Weir. “We are deeply grateful for FedEx Freight’s commitment to our mission and the athletes who inspire Arkansas every day.”
